3. Submission of Application

Course Description:

This comprehensive program is based upon the classical Pilates repertoire with the addition of our unique blend of functional and contemporary exercises where emphasis will be placed upon learning to teach Pilates at a very sophisticated level to individual bodies. In addition to the full repertoire of Pilates exercises, we’ll cover fundamental skills, basic anatomy and kinesiology, assessment skills, teaching techniques and pertinent reading material. Our small class size and one-on-one coaching supports the high standard we intend to achieve as fully trained teachers. At year’s end, graduates proficiently teach well-designed private lessons, mat classes and small group equipment classes of all levels, and the candidate will perform Intro through Advanced Pilates on all of the equipment. Successful completion of comprehensive written, teaching and performance exams will be required for completion. Additionally, students are prepared to take the certification exam given by The Pilates Method Alliance (PMA) should they choose.
